Media Display System (MDS) is an innovative marketing platform that is focused on Westec’s QSR, CStore and Retail customers. It offers rich high-definition presentations on large format displays, and is managed from the iVR platform. MDS offers static graphics, FLASH based animation and full motion video commercials in a looped presentation that can include audio in some configurations.
The iVR managing site security is dual tasked as a marketing engine to push the rich media content to an unlimited number of displays throughout the site. The content is displayed in 1080i high-definition format supported by devices ranging from small POS LCD checkout marketing monitors to large format plasma flat panels.
Since the Westec platform's primary application is safety and security, the bi-directional audio requirements and training solutions eliminate the audio output for MDS. In some scenarios, leveraging Eagle Analog Audio, the iVR will support full audio output for the MDS platform. Westec offers a standalone MDS platform offering full audio and video support for up to two unique presentations.
Management of content leverages the Westec RMS network to centrally manage rich media content enterprise wide. The RMS network will push the content as needed to remote sites, and can be managed by customers using the Westec Customer Portal.
Westec maintains a creative department to support customer requests for developing content on the MDS platform. Graphics, animation and video development are typically handled in-house or by the customer’s agency.
