Intelligent video is designed to minimize false alarms from cameras. The iVR has an advanced motion detection algorithm called (NFA) for No False Alarms that filters subtle pixel noise, lighting effects, camera bounce and other camera anomalies. Prior to triggering an event, the NFA engine confirms the motion through the same camera, a second camera or even a motion detector. These validation techniques filter almost all false impressions on the iVR.
Westec leverages the NFA video intelligence to trigger alarms to the Central Command Center, trigger Voice Prompting, auto-pan a PTZ camera or open a contact. The NFA engine can be adjusted for sensitivity, rate of motion, masked zones and multi-device check.
